Your privacy is critically important to us. At Corrientech ("we", "us", "our"), we have a few fundamental principles:
- We don't ask for your personal information unless we truly need it for auth and billing.
- We don't share your personal information except to comply with the law, provide the Service (including AI-assisted features through vetted service providers), or protect our rights.
- We treat your industrial telemetry data with the highest security standards.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign up for Corrientech, we collect your name, email address, organization name, and billing details (managed via our third-party payment processor).
Telemetry Data: Our hardware devices (CT-Sense sensors) collect continuous electrical current readings, machine status, anomaly metadata, and network connection status from your deployed environment.
Usage Data: We may collect information on how the Service is accessed and used within the dashboard to improve user experience.
AI Copilot Data: If you use the Corrientech Copilot (an in-dashboard AI assistant), we collect the messages you send it and the operational data our systems retrieve on your behalf to answer your questions — for example machine, device, shift, event, and production-run information scoped to your organization. See Section 3 below for how this data is used and shared.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service, including real-time dashboards and historical analysis.
- To notify you about changes to our Service, alerts on machine downtime, or organizational invites.
- To provide customer care and support.
- To train our own aggregated machine learning models for anomaly detection and state classification.
- To power the AI Copilot assistant described in Section 3.
- To monitor usage, detect, prevent, and address technical issues.
3. AI Features (Corrientech Copilot)
The Service includes an optional, in-dashboard AI assistant ("Copilot") that answers natural-language questions about your fleet, devices, and production data. Copilot is processed using third-party AI/large-language-model providers — currently DeepSeek for chat responses and Google (Gemini) for document/vision processing — under our agreements with those providers. The providers we use may change over time as the underlying technology evolves; this Policy will be updated to reflect any change, and you can always ask us for the current list.
What Copilot sends to these providers: only the specific, role-scoped data needed to answer your question and your own message text — for example machine names and status, device identifiers and firmware versions, shift schedules, event records, and production-run metrics (job name, status, quantities, OEE). Copilot does not retrieve or transmit pricing, customer names, or due-date information from your production board, and it is not available to users with the Operator role. Data sent to a Copilot provider is processed under that provider's own privacy policy and data-processing terms, which may involve processing outside the United States (see Section 6).
Retention: Copilot conversations and the underlying tool requests/results are stored so you can review your own chat history and so we can debug and improve the feature. Access is restricted to the user who created the conversation. Conversations are automatically deleted after 60 days of inactivity.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. High-frequency telemetry data is stored in time-series databases and may be downsampled over time depending on your subscription tier. Copilot conversation data is retained as described in Section 3.
You can request account deletion at any time by contacting support. Upon organizational deletion, all associated telemetry data will be permanently purged from our active databases.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), provide the Service on our behalf, or perform Service-related services. As of the date above, these categories of Service Providers include:
- Payment processing — Stripe, for billing and subscription payments.
- AI / large-language-model processing — currently DeepSeek and Google (Gemini), used to power the Copilot feature described in Section 3.
- Cloud infrastructure and hosting — providers we use to run, host, and deliver the Service.
This list reflects our current Service Providers and may change as our vendors change; we will update this Policy to reflect material changes. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
6. International Data Transfers
Corrientech is based in the United States, and most of our infrastructure is hosted here. Some Service Providers we use — including one or more of the AI providers described in Section 3 — may process data on servers located outside the United States. Where this occurs, we take steps intended to ensure the data is handled consistently with this Policy.
7. Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us. Connections from Corrientech devices use secure transport protocols via MQTT, and web access is secured via HTTPS. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights, or ask us what personal data we hold about you, by contacting us at the address in Section 10. Use of the AI Copilot feature is optional — if you would rather not have your messages or the data described in Section 3 processed by a third-party AI provider, simply don't use Copilot; the rest of the Service works the same without it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
10. Contact Us
